• Run statistics (distance, time, pace, route)
• Activity history and weekly progress
• Interactions with other users (pings, matches, messages)

We automatically collect certain information about your device:

• Device model and operating system
• Unique device identifiers
• App version and usage data

• During live runs: Your approximate location may be visible to nearby runners within your matching radius
• Service providers: We work with third-party providers who help us operate our service (hosting, analytics, support)
• Advertising measurement: We share limited app-activity events (such as app installs and account registrations) with Meta Platforms to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. This uses Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork framework — we do not collect your advertising identifier (IDFA), track you across other apps, or show third-party ads in the app
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety

Location Privacy

We take location privacy seriously:

• Location data is only collected during active runs
• You can end a run at any time to stop sharing your location
• Past run routes are stored privately and not shared with other users unless you choose to share them
• You can disable location permissions at any time through your device settings

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access your personal information

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we must retain data to comply with legal obligations.

RunnersHi is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately.

SMS Verification Messages

RunnersHi uses SMS text messages solely to verify your phone number during sign-up or login. By providing your phone number in the app and tapping "Send Verification Code," you consent to receive a one-time SMS verification code from RunnersHi.

• Message frequency: One message per verification request. No recurring or marketing messages are sent.
• Message and data rates may apply. Check with your wireless carrier for details.
• Opt-out: Reply STOP to any verification message to opt out of future SMS messages.
• Help: Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at support@runnershiapp.com.
• Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Data use: Your phone number is used only for authentication and is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
